Suspension Bridge – some 450 feet across and

From there, it is on to the “piece de resistance”-
Grouse Mountain. Rising above the city, Grouse Mountain
offers fresh alpine air, lush forests, and a spectacular
view of the mountains, ocean and cityscape below.
Take a breathtaking 8-minute skyride to the mountain
summit, 1,128 m, skimming over the tips of pine trees.

| Cruise across the Strait of Georgia into the spectacular
Gulf Islands watching Killer Whales and local marine
wildlife amidst a backdrop of breathtaking views.
The
waters surrounding southern Vancouver Island are home
to three resident pods of killer whales (Orcas). Within
these three pods, known as the southern residents,
there are approximately ninety whales. The Killer
Whales come to this region to feed on the salmon that
are returning to the Fraser River to spawn. The salmon
start to migrate up river May and continue into October.
On board is a professional naturalist who not only
offers insight into the lives of these fascinating
animals, but also reveals the history of the other
wildlife that can be seen on the tours, such as porpoises,
sea lions, seals, eagles, herons, and other wildlife.
You will be traveling on a covered boat designed
to minimize any sea roughness. A boxed lunch will
be provided on board as well. The tour may vary in
length as whales do migrate. Should the whales be
near, and time allows, you can also enjoy sightseeing
and shopping in the popular historic fishing village
of Steveston, your disembarking point for whale watching.
