The Theme, Improving Glaucoma Care Worldwide, provided an important platform for interactive symposia and scientific communications from our members and member nominees. It was an extremely successful conference creating an exciting, stimulating and supportive atmosphere. The Goldmann Lecturer was Dr. George Spaeth.

Vancouver B.C. was the beautiful setting of the 9th Annual Meeting of the Glaucoma Research Society
The theme of the meeting "Improving Glaucoma Care Worldwide” provided both visionary and critical thinking about this very important global disease.
The Goldmann Lecture: “The Glaucoma Graph” – Professor Roger Hitchings delivered his lecture in an innovative and challenging perspective of glaucoma management
Thanks to all who attended and helped make this the most interactive and productive meeting to date.
Thank you to the generous support from industry that helped to make the meeting a success.

The 7th meeting of the Glaucoma Research Society was held in in Chantilly, France.
The Scientific Meeting was intellectually rewarding and the group social activities were most enjoyable.
The two mini-symposia provoked insightful and stimulating discussions. The first, dealt with “Standards”, and the second, a summary of recent randomized trials.
The Goldmann Lecturer was Douglas Anderson, a long-time member of the Society.
